A CONCERNED CITIZEN WRITES TO WINSTON & NZFIRST MPs’
It is critical that all Maori seats are abolished as they account for over 50% of the current racial issues in NZ.
ISSUES FOR CONSIDERATION IN RESPECT OF ANY COALITION
WITH NATIONAL OR ANY OTHER PARTY – 26 SEPTEMBER 2017
1. Binding Referendum on abolishing the Maori Seats. Immediate and for all Kiwis,
This cannot harm National Party as Maori Party have now gone and good riddance!!.
For the past 9 years they have divided NZ and promoted a race based Constitution.
Maori do not support National unless there is something in it for them (a one way street).
Voting statistics show this to be the case.
This will wipe Maori seats out at the next general election and help National as seven Labour seats will be eliminated and this will then leave only general seats.
Electoral seats will reduced to 113 and about 140,000 Maori votes will be re-distributed, being roughly 2,000 per electorate.
Frankly, this is already part of National's 2008 Manifesto.
Current position reeks of separatism and reverse apartheid.
This issue is pivotal and the cornerstone for going forward plus breaking the grip of Iwi elite.
Predictabily, both Labour and Greens have stated they are NOT negotiable on this policy !!!!!
2. Repeal of Section 70 re: National Superannuation .ie. alter direct deduction policy to proportionality as practiced in all other countries. Over 80,000 Kiwis affected.
3. Binding Referenda Policy on all major issues.
4. Reduce number of MPs to 100.
5. Fresh Water Rights including taxes plus current 600 Foreshore & Seabed(MACA) applications.
All of NZ coastline at risk. (Rein in Finlayson OTS and the secret deals).
6. RMA - Repeal race based Iwi provisions. Remember Maori Party forced this on National when NZ First was strongly opposed.
NZ First as a Coalition Partner could apply the same pressure to repeal the offensive parts .
Other Queries .
*Immigration Curtailed to 10,000 or 20,000 suitably qualified persons per annum
*National Super Entitlements say 20 years residency requirement then proportionality.
*Purchase of NZ properties by foreigners (non passport holders) to cease.
*How would NZ First survive if a new election was called.
*NZ First must make its mark over next 3 years and solidify its future destiny without Winston Peters.
The party needs a succession plan and new blood in leadership group.
*Labour (with 7 Maori MPs) and Greens are a toxic mix. Policies completely incompatible with NZ First and can’t see them moving on Items 1, 4, 5 or 6, etc.
Bear in mind that by nature, NZ First members are not supportive of Labour or Greens policies.
*Cross Benches position may exert some control going forward but won’t deal with past corrupt practices particularly with reference to the likes of Items 1, 5 or 6 above.
[NZ First should be wary of the possibility of a Greens/National Deal]
Sincerely
R. P.
