CALL FOR BETTER IWI CONSULTATION ON FILMING AT NATIONAL PARKSThe Department of Conservation in the top of the South Island is urging filmmakers to brush up on protocols and cultural awareness when filming on public land. The eight iwi in the northern South Island, Te Tau Ihu, are still trying to bed in systems post Treaty settlement and are struggling to cope with late requests for permits. The Department of Conservation processes applications for filming permits then considers how much iwi need to be involved in the decision. Tell these overweight thugs that they will not be getting anything because the land belongs to all Kiwis and their sense of entitlement is a disgrace and an embarrassment to NZ. Treat them with the contempt they deserve. Give them NOTHING!
