To Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern
Parliament
WELLINGTON
Dear Prime Minister,
WHO’S GOING TO DEFEND THE LITTLE GUY?
The biggest challenge for any leader is to be brave enough to step up when things are going wrong. (Helen Clark tried to do this with Labour’s foreshore and seabed legislation.) Too many others prefer to appease the bullies and/or kick the problem down the road, which is what the National Party did with their 2011 Marine & Coastal Area Act.
With New Zealand’s entire coastline now under claim by race-based groups, New Zealanders are feeling that our outdoor lifestyles and birth rights are well and truly under threat. Worse, government-endorsed bullying and blackmail is becoming endemic. New Zealanders with Maori blood suffer from this as much as all other Kiwis.
On top of the ridiculous amount of money taxpayers are being forced to pay out to iwi lawyers, the loose legislation and the resulting claims suggest we will all be penalised by:
* Some beaches and coast areas being CLOSED to the public.
* PAYING (MORE) for using publicly-funded boat ramps & other coastal amenities.
* Some fishing or seafood harvesting out to the 12-mile limit being BANNED.
* The need to PAY-OFF unverified claimants to get resource consent.
* PAYING (MORE) for using coastal services, or losing them all together.
* FINES for trespassing on the foreshore.
* Having fun activities we enjoy FORBIDDEN OR CHARGED FOR.
* HARASSMENT, BULLYING AND VIOLENCE from aggressive claimants.
* Nearby landowners being RESTRICTED in the use of their properties.
* HIGHER RATES as claimants make demands on Councils.
* Tribes getting richer and more arrogant while public services grow POORER.
* RESENTMENT causing racial & social unrest.
This process has started with neither the Attorney General nor Councils prepared to defend the public interest!
This abhorrent state of affairs will continue down the road National built unless you are brave enough to say that it is simply wrong. It is not natural justice. It is not conducive to building a peaceful, cooperative and productive nation. It’s symptomatic of third world corruption and suppression of the people.
Dear Prime Minister, please be brave for all our sakes. PLEASE PUT OUR COAST BACK INTO CROWN OWNERSHIP FOR THE BENEFIT OF ALL NEW ZEALANDERS – no matter what whanau, tribe, ethnicity or religion they subscribe to.
Yours sincerely,
F. M.
