VIOLENCE MONEY BEST TARGETED AT GROUND FORCES The executive director of the New Zealand Māori Council wants to see more of the Government’s $320 million package to counter family and sexual violence being spent on building up Māori social service organisations. Matthew Tukaki says Māori are dealing with the consequences of 60 years of state intervention in which something like 70 percent of children placed in care have been Māori .
