PRISONERS VOTING: "A RIGHT NOT A PRIVILEGE"Dr Rawiri Waretini-Karena and Donna Awatere Huata have spoken out on prisoners voting rights after the Waitangi Tribunal announced an urgent hearing on the issue. Waretini-Karena is a co-claimant along with Awatere Huata on Wai 2867. Their claim concerns the prejudicial effects of s 80(1)(d) of the Electoral Act 1993, namely the disenfranchisement of Māori prisoners. Their claim alleges that the Crown has breached the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi by allowing the disproportionately large Māori prison population to be disenfranchised and by failing to protect Māori from the acts of discrimination and racism, the rights of Māori prisoners to vote, the taonga of voting rights and the effective exercise of the Māori Electoral Option...... www.maoritelevision.com/news/politics/prisoners-voting-right-not-privilege

This is a myth and maori are well aware that it's a LIE. Anyone with even 1% maori blood is counted as a "maori prison stat" despite being more non-maori than maori. How can someone 99% not maori be called maori? They do it to make their stats look like they are being targeted when it is not happening. If caucasians used the same criteria that the maori fraudsters use, then 99.9% of prisoners would be labeled caucasian. I have just proven that maori are liars and the stats are fake.
