LONG-SERVING TIMARU LAWYER TAKES SEAT AS A DISTRICT COURT JUDGELong-serving Timaru lawyer Quentin Hix has taken his seat as a District Court judge. Hix, who is of Māori descent, will start work on Monday at the Christchurch District Court, where he will be based. However, the most important role in the past 10 years was representing Arowhenua in making connections with Ngāi Tahu, he said. "It's been fantastic making connections and I will continue making connections so we can address that 5.7 figure."
