HAMILTON CITY COUNCIL APPROVES WATER DEAL TO HELP AUCKLANDHamilton City Council has today unanimously approved a draft agreement to help resolve Auckland’s looming water crisis. The agreement would assign some of Hamilton’s existing water-take consent to Watercare, enabling Watercare to take up to 25 million litres per day (MLD) from the Waikato River.
