SCHOOL TO SHOW ITS CULTURE WITH NEW ENTRANCEA Manawatū school is creating a new entrance way designed to make it feel like a more New Zealand school. Palmerston North Intermediate Normal School unveiled a new large carving at a special assembly on Friday, which was made from swamp kauri found in the Manawatū River. The carving will sit in a new entranceway to the school office, with work starting on Monday. It is a $1.6 million project, with $400,000 coming from the Government infrastructure fund announced last year...... www.stuff.co.nz/manawatu-standard/news/300048497/school-to-shows-its-culture-with-new-entrance
