IWI TAKES BATTLE AGAINST WHAKATĀNE PETROL STATION PLANS TO COURTNgāti Awa iwi is opposing plans for a petrol station near Whakatāne, four months after battling two resource consents in the Rotorua High Court. The Ngāti Awa case centres around ownership of a private roadway, while Lysaght Developments' opposition relates to a condition of the consent that prevents a right-hand turn into the site from the state highway....... www.rnz.co.nz/news/national/430064/iwi-takes-battle-against-whakatane-petrol-station-plans-to-court
