NEW MAORI HEALTH AUTHORITY
P B writes > July 2022, is bound to see thousands of omicron cases : undoubtedly a majority will be the weak and genetically susceptible ethnic groups, such as Maori .
With the NEW Maori health authority, being responsible for the better health and welfare of its people, and owning no hospitals, it will become problematic where these patients will go, and if there are equally a large number of "other" patients, who will get the beds in the hospitals and on what basis will that decision be made and WHO will make it?
If the number of Maori Doctors and Maori nurses is insufficient to treat the large number of Maori patients, who will be expected to look after them?
AND who will fund them?
Normal taxpayers carry the burden of Healthcare costs now: as most iwi are trust-charitable organisations and pay little or no tax, and it has been quoted that 30% of Maori under 50 are on a WINZ benefit, again paying no tax: how will the Maori population fund their own Health Authority? Or will they?
