RENAMING WĀNAKA'S WALKWAY: WHAT WE STAND TO GAINThe topic of te reo Māori has been circulating in Queenstown Lakes the past week, with the renaming of Wānaka’s 650-metre pathway, previously the Millennium Path now Te Ata Maumahara, sparking debate at the Wānaka-Upper Clutha Community Board meeting. They offered the name Te Ara Maumahara, which is now the new name..... crux.org.nz/crux-news/wanakas-new-pathway-festigrowing-usage-of-te-reo-in-the-area
