Ardern says > "I want to be a Government that brings back manaakitanga", ---- and she means it! SELF-HELP BOOKS FOR PARLIAMENTARY STAFFAn anonymous source gave the Taxpayers’ Union a copy of an animal-inspired self-help book that Parliamentary Services has distributed to its hundreds of staff. In the glossy 115-page book, Parliamentary staff are encouraged to be like animals: - “The Wolf is courageous and stable. If we can learn to keep our confidence stable and be courageous enough to have it we will be like the Wolf.” - “Frogs are super flexible. Let’s try be like one.” - “Gorilla’s [sic] are known for their raw power and dominant poses. When you power pose think of the Gorilla.” - “We chose the bear because it uses sleep to recover and heal. Much like we should.” Parliamentary Services employs about 720 people. The book’s website prices it at $20 a copy, so that brings the total cost to over $14,000. George Orwell's "ANIMAL FARM" would have been a good animal book to read. Sadly it seems 'Animal Farm' has been used as a text book rather than an insight into the corruption and destruction of democracy in NZ.
