TRIBE READY FOR HARBOURS CLAIM Waikato Tainui is keen to start on its outstanding claims to its west coast harbours. Lead negotiator Rahui Papa says the land settlement of 20 years ago and the more recent Waikato River settlement left unfinished the matter of the Kawhia, Aotea, Whaingaroa and Manukau harbours. He wants to work with the hapu affected on what their needs are. "We really want to acknowledge the whanau out on the coast and the people who have come away from there because of lack of employment.
