TRIBALISM
Tribalism looks far more To Where You Came From and judge's people by who their parents and ancestors were rather than what they achieved themselves.
Moving out of tribalism and into a modern society is extremely important.
We should judge every individual by their own efforts not by what their ancestors did or didn't do. This goes both ways in New Zealand maori bashing is tribalism.
The only difference is the tribe of the bashers, is, those that aren't Maori, or in many cases are white. So tribalism is not tied to a particular tribe, it is tied it to the actions of individuals.
If we judge everyone on their own individual merits and want the best for our children not a grandfather, if we spent the money on schools and not cemeteries, then we would be getting somewhere.
Putting ones family on too much of a pedestal is also a form of tribalism. We should judge our children by their actions and deeds not only by the fact that they are our children.
