THESE SO-CALLED NON-RACISTS ARE OBSESSED WITH RACE.
They are constantly reminding us that we should see Maori-looking people as "Maori", rather than just people with a certain brand of facial features. I believe this categorisation process is at the heart of racism. Once we all learn to see these people as a separate group, they can be separately categorised.
The result? When we see a Maori face, we instantly associate it with bad (or worse) statistics, rather than seeing them first as individuals. And so do the specifically catagorised people, themselves.
And since when did we need to categorise people on the grounds of ethnicity? Why not just group people into needy and non needy, and criminal and not criminal, etc?
