A leader of his people, Pouroto Ngaropo (Ngāti Awa) who has dedicated thirty years of his life to ensure Māori customs and traditions are honoured across the entire Bay of Plenty regional government. "ensure maori customs and traditions are honoured across the entire Bay of Plenty regional government...". I haven't heard about any acts of cannibalism in the BOP lately. I also haven't heard about any acts of slavery lately in the BOP. Nor, as far as I know, have any species of birds become extinct lately in the BOP. So, what exactly are these customs and traditions? Oh.....maybe it is the fake fraudulent lies they are referring to....you know the ones that they made up a few years ago and pretend that they are age old. Hahaha fancy getting honoured for lying and fraud!! Only in NZ!
