Council will then hold an extraordinary meeting on 23 November to consider Māori Wards...... www.scoop.co.nz/stories/AK2010/S00471/council-seeks-community-views-on-maori-wards.htm

PUBLIC TO GET SAY ON LOCAL GOVERNMENT SETUPAt its meeting last month the council decided not to establish a Maori ward, but did decide to establish an advisory group to assist in developing options.
