UNANIMOUS SOUTH TARANAKI DISTRICT COUNCIL VOTE FOR MĀORI WARDS IS WELCOMED The co-leader of the Māori party has welcomed a unanimous South Taranaki District Council decision this week to introduce Māori wards, and pledged to work with Parliament to overturn the rule that could see them tossed out.
