TŪHOE DIALECT FOCUS OF RESEARCHSome Tuhoe are reclaiming their dialect by dropping the 'g' in the word 'ng' when writing and speaking māori. Te Uru Taumatua Chairman Tamati Kruger says if your language is your identity, it is dialect which identifies who you are and where you come from...... www.maoritelevision.com/news/regional/tuhoe-dialect-focus-research

"dropping the g" ?? They never had a 'g' or an alphabet until they stole the letters from the european settlers. To date, not 1 cent in compensation has been paid for the theft of those letters that make up the BS 'maori alphabet'...... which incidentally is as phoney as a $20 Rolex.
