IWI RAISE CONCERNS ABOUT CULTURAL IMPACT OF TARANAKI WIND TURBINE HYDROGEN PROJECTSouth Taranaki iwi have raised concerns about a plan to build a set of giant wind turbines as part of a $70 million green hydrogen project, citing cultural and visual impacts. Hiringa Energy Limited and Ballance Agri-Nutrients have applied under a fast-tracked consenting process to build four, 206-metre tall wind turbines on Kokiri Rd farmland, about five kilometres northeast of Manaia.
