HOME DETENTION ‘LAST LIFELINE’A man who pleaded guilty in Gisborne District Court to a raft of mostly family harm charges was sentenced to four-and-a-half months home detention, with post-detention conditions imposed for a further six months, and was told by the judge this would be his “last lifeline”. Manaaki Terekia, counsel for Mohi, sought an end-sentence of home detention, and in his submission highlighted the cultural report that outlined Mohi's upbringing.
