KAIKŌURA AIMS FOR THE GREAT WALKS MAPLocal authorities and iwi in north Canterbury have applied to have popular walkways around Kaikōura elevated to 'Great Walks' status. Kaikōura community stalwart Gina Solomon said the aim of getting the tracks official status was to help boost the recovery of small towns like Waiau, Mt Lyford, Ward, Seddon and Hanmer, and reinvigorate an element of iwi history in the area...... www.radionz.co.nz/news/national/346892/kaikoura-aims-for-the-great-walks-map

"and reinvigorate an element of iwi history in the area......", hmmmm, I guess murder and cannibalism and slavery and all those other interesting elements of iwi history will not be mentioned!! Just the usual BS ones where they mix maori history with North American indian history and get this rubbish about conservationism, the ability to talk to whales and communicate with mountains and all those other make-it-up-as-you-go lies that everybody is too afraid to question.
