A GENERATION OF MĀORI DISRUPTED BY THE FALLOUT OF COVID-19 In recessions of the past, the unskilled and low paid were most vulnerable to job loss and community disruption. Further, without doubt, Māori have been disproportionately represented in such groups. Some suggest the current focus on essential and social sector work may mitigate this impact, due to the concentration of Māori in such work.
